Banquet

We much enjoyed ourselves at last night's taruithorn banquet. A huge thank you to everyone who organised it, cooked, served, and washed up! (It was also good of you to lay on exercise, in the form of running after three small children ;-) )

This morning, we met a couple of members of the CS Lewis Society, then headed home. After lunch, we went for a short walk at a local beauty spot. Going along the edge of a hill, we got an excellent view of a kestrel (it was hovering at about eye level!)

I do not recommend the Barcelo hotel by the Wolvercote roundabout, BTW. It wasn't actively bad, and was certainly cheap enough for a hotel of that scale; but it wasn't really any better than the Holiday Inn in Bristol that we stopped at last weekend, and which didn't pretend to be a 4-star hotel (or even an any-star hotel!)
