Although up until half an hour ago the office was dead. Now they're all back from their Team Building.

I don't currently have any firm data on whether anyone's there, but as far as I know, I'm here.

Gosh, you don't hear about a programme for years, and then you are reminded twice in as many months.

I know the phrase, but I've no idea whence it comes!

It's a song- I think it starts out with someone going into a barn and asking if anyone is there- the chorus begins with someone singing "There aint nobody here but us chickens, There aint nobody here at all" but I can't remember the rest.

I met it in *Nightingales*, which starred Robert Lindsay, and was a one of those sitcoms which are precious because they are both good, and about situations which are neither obviously commedic, nor typical (i.e. based in a white, middle-class family). There are these three blokes who are night security guards in a Birmingham office block. In the first epsiode, there's a werewolf.

Yep, a werewolf. This was when Mrs Thatcher had declared there was no Society, and the BBC's reply was that there was no Fantasy, either.

Out now on DVD. I have a birthday coming up *hint*.

Ermm, Muuranker - ExMemSec isn't on LJ - or does he lurk ...

No, lurketh he not. He is my own personal Control Group as to why I will never get my evil way and persuade my employers that all this flictwitbething stuff is something a public body which is trying to stop young women getting pregnant, everyone from getting fat, stopping dropping litter, borrow more library books, stop thinking racist thoughts etc. etc. should engage with.

I am an optemist. My employers will see the light, and ExMemSec will buy me Nightingales.

Yes! Or at least, realising that I didn't have the coordination to do it.
