We've sold our house!

Well, very nearly.

We have received the contract, signed it, and are about to send it back to the solicitor. The next stage will be exchange of contracts (which is when both we and the seller are committed to going through with it), followed by completion (which is when we hand over the keys).

We're moving all our stuff out next Thursday, and putting it into storage.

The purchasing end is slightly behind, but (I hope!) only slightly. Our solicitor has identified an issue, as has a solicitor further up the chain. I think that both of these are fairly minor- they will need resolving before we go any further, but the resolution won't take long.

While we clearly want to get the purchase sorted out quickly, it does simplify things a bit to be able to separate the sale and purchase - we don't have to get everything done on the same day, as we're already renting a house in Bristol.

That's what we found. The second move of the two was a lot less stressful.

Ah, I'd forgotten you had done it like that too.
