Where does all the paper come from? We've got a waste paper bag that weighs, at a rough guess, about two stone; a stack of paper to file away; a (small) stack of things to send elsewhere; and still got a stack to sort through!

Of course, having had three houses over the last seven months won't have helped!

I know...it is a constant source of irritation to me that we don't have a real fire, so I could at least burn my waste paper and heat the house rather than having to landfill all that nice combustable material whilst paying for gas!

That would be nice! This is just what my parents do (except they're too remote to have gas, so they have to have oli fired central heating. Which is a great deal better than solid fuel central heating, which is what they had before. And in turn, this is a great deal better than an old house with no central heating, which is what they had before that).

**ck knows, but I feel your pain. I have whole rooms of it. (Fortunately with some air in between it, but even so).

At least, now that we have finally divested ourselves of the old house and the rental house, we should be able to get rid of some of the paperwork relating to them.

After many years I have been compelled to reach the conclusion that I generate a light magnetic field that attracts paper to me. Sadly, something in banknotes is able to neutralize the field.

We have a particular draw for paper that has been bound up and put between covers.

Definitely!

(BTW, were you in Cambridge on Saturday? If so, you might have seen my father in law.)
