Birmingham's historic Moseley Bog, said to have inspired JRR Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings, is to get a major revamp.

I note that they don't mention the Shire Park (like what includes the bog) or the partnership of groups that have been working around the Bog for the last few years. I don't think it will be worth harrumphing at the B'ham & Black Country Wildlife trust now though- they've got the money and publicity.

Oh dear. I'm worried now. When I first read your subject header, my initial thought was that it was referring to some public toilets that Tolkien used to use. I have no idea why, since I have never in my life called a toilet a "bog." Still, it provided me with a few moments of amusement, as I imagined a kind of "Changing Toilets" scenario, in which TV designers gave the toilets a Tolkien-inspired theme. The sinks could be made to look like the Mirror of Galadriel, and the toilet bowls themselves could have a nice little Mordor theme going.
