I am about to go out - Surrey Archaeological Society Council (i.e. committee) meeting. A worthy body, but no sense of timing.

I strongly suspect that the Palaelithic had an equivalent of Friday nights.

I imagine that the 'elders who call a meeting to discuss placating the rain gods on the evening after a really good hunt when the brewers want to reward the hunters with mead' were around even then.
