There was a fascinating piece on "Coast" on BBC2 earlier this evening about Britain's "Black Knight" and "Black Arrow" rocket programs. Apparently the Prospero satellite launched by the latetr in 1971 is still up there - they failed to see it, but did pick up its transmissions.

One of the chaps who was talking on that program is a friend of mine - a musician for the Men of Wight.

We can happily show you round what's left of the facilities sometime when you're on the Island.

Actually that programme was shown last Wednesday too! I had planned to post about it but had too many other things to do, and then I got distracted by animal programmes and TorchAngel.

I saw a few minutes of it last week, but not the rocket bit. I also saw the North Ronaldsay sheep tonight - rather poor planning on the Beeb's part, as they were also on with Bill Oddie last night.
