I estimated, too: "6 and a bit shelves on that twirly CD thing that probably has about 25 CDs per shelf. 3 - or is that 4? - Really Useful Boxes full of old cassette tapes, which I can't be bothered to check up on, but probably have about 30 each... and let's add on a few more since I've probably forgotten something."

Oh well if you want a rough estimate... 'many'. Possibly 'a lot'.

Ours are on a huge long high shelf in stacks: I have no idea how many per stack or how many stacks per shelf.

I answered 50 but I'm fairly sure it's nearer 20-25. I have more CD's than that but most of them are spoken word. I don't really listen to music much.

Leaving out my parents' record collection and their CDs, but adding in several of my box sets (one of which is my lovely 30-CD Elgar collection) and a bunch of CD singles that have only three or four songs per disc...it still seems like a lot. ^^;;

Oh this is much easier than the books as I don't have much music at all, only about 70 CD's not including all the Tolkien stuff of which there is almost as much. And somewhere [under the bed maybe?] there are about 30 LP's and about 50 45's. I've never been much into music!

I sort of did a mental shelf measurement, plus the filk tape collection, and came to about 300, but I forget inamac's vinyl collection. Not that we play anything except the occasional CD in the car.

Or looking at the other responses and thinking "not into music?" and "that's not many" (not that either is 'wrong') probably more like lots and lots. Can't attempt to count as a. don't have time and b. lots of in in accessible places right now.

But I do use online radio stuff a lot now (as well as normal radio) (including those where you can pick the genre, artist or what have you) so it'd be more otherwise.

You click on the poll number and it takes you to a new page showing all the poll answers. In the top left there is an option saying "fill out poll". I'm not sure if it's only available to paid members or to everyone.
