Water, water everywhere, nor any drop to drink

We have no water! Sometime between getting up and making tea, and then going to have showers half an hour later, the water packed up. adaese rang Wessex Water, who said, "Ring Bristol Water," who had a recorded message saying, "We've got a burst water main". So now adaese has soapy hair, and I have a loo that won't flush.

Yes, I'm sure. My father often had several thousand birds to care for, which gave him similar worries.
