I could reasonably happily go without either of the first two.

I'd rather lose a couple of fingers than go without either of the latter two.

Hmmm, I'd rather do without the radio, newspapers and magazines :-).

That's an easy one - though where would you class fanvids, or downloaded TV shows?

Well, if you've got access to the internet, then losing traditional radio broadcasts, newspapers, TV progs, DVDs, CDs and all sorts wouldn't be SUCH a bad thing as it used to be, assuming the content that is online stayed at least as varied as it is now.

I quite like having different media, and I wouldn't want no books (although e-books can be very useful in some circumstances) so I'd rather not ditch anything you listed, although I'd ditch ALL the rest rather than internet, if pushed.

I didn't find the choice too hard. I seldom listen to the radio anyway, since I can't read or write to music, or indeed any sound at all. Tapes are a thing for long journeys, and CDs for Friday evenings with wine, but as a folkie, I could sing all those songs instead, either alone or in company. Live music is better than recorded, anyway.

TV I don't need. DVDs, however, I enjoy very much. And I certainly *could* use iTunes instead of CDs if I could be bothered, so that's easier to part with than other things.

Well, I've done without a TV for over 20 years now. I've never had a video player. I like DVDs, but I could do without them if need be. I could also give up records, tapes and newspapers.

I'd prefer not to give up the radio, CDs, books, magazines (though magazines are probably ranked similar to DVDs). There is no way I'd be prepared to give up the internet for a long time!

I voted for radio, records tapes & CD's as I presume I can still listen to the MP3 files on my computer ;-)
