Surely that scale needs to go higher ? I had a couple of busy days last week, and my inbox blew out to 200 - I have no doubt that a week off (like, gulp, the upcoming WorldCon) will see over 500 new messages.

On days I am in the office, I normally get around 50 emails. My high is something like 74.

I get around 60 to 100 a day - drops to 10 to 20 at weekends/bank holidays.

Worldcon will be, I estimate, 1400 emails.

It takes 1 day per week at the moment to open emails and file them as 'dead urgent', 'quite urgent', 'not urgent', 'diary', or delete.

Leaving only 4 days per week to actually respond to them. And do my job.
