If an analogous version was made today, it would be set in 1991, which is well within the memory of almost everyone reading this. So ... what would the film be like? What iconic scenes would it show? What would it be called? Who would you get to star in it?
For that matter - Grease is American. If a British version had been made in 1978, set in a Britain of 1959, what would that be like?
*Although since it's set over one school year, it must logically be set in either 1958/59 or 1959/60.
