If I haven't emailed you recently, it's because I've (a) been busy, (b) had troubles with my email client at home, and (c) had some troubles with my ISP (again!) The second of these should be better now; the first and third, who knows!

I will be making every effort to reply to emails through the course of the next few days; but if you're desperate to get in touch with me, comment here, and I'll push you up the list.

Your ISP, owned by the same people as my ISP, are not the most reliable people ever are they? Mind you, I find that they have more probs, but at a much lower level, than my previous one. And at least they keep you informed (usually) about what is happening. And they don't seem to lose email so much as just have it delayed. Weren't you going to get an alternative googlemail account (doesn't completely solve the problem, but can be handy)?

My ISP used to be really bad about news groups, but I don't use groups any more so it's stopped bothering me.

Good point about the gmail account - I will add "sort out the details" to my (incredibly long) "to do" list.

Get an account with a reliable ISP. Demon has been rated very highly in recent years (and I can personally recommend them) as has Zen, but I've never used them. The TS gave up Force9 many years back because they were crap.

So two recommendations and a barge-pole warning.
