The wife of one of my members of staff was on the train that got stuck overnight :-( After hearing about her ordeal I decided not to try and get in today, which seemed reasonable as all of my regular trains were cancelled and only the high speed service into St Pancras was running (albeit with cancellations and delays). Bacchus tried to get the high speed service into London as he had a Krug tasting which he's been waiting for 4 years to attend, but he returned about 20 minutes ago having been unsuccessful, as even the high speed trains are now stuck (despite what it says on the SE website). There is also apparently a train buried in the snow between G'ham and Faversham!

I wondered if you were venturing in today!

Have come across a few older people online muttering 'not seen snow like this since '63!'

Philmophlegm has come home just in case, though we still only have a light dusting here, it doesn't seem worth risking getting stuck in the office.

I was intending to go in, but rather hoping the trains would be cancelled as this: Commuters suffer snow travel chaos at Victoria Station was my experience when trying to get home on Tuesday night :-(
