* I don't know, plus, it depends on your exact definition of 'jeans'. Somewhere between 'some' and 'many'.

I do know that I only have one blue pair, because I bought them thinking 'it's daft to have this prejudice against jeans in blue, normally I like blue, why should all my jeans be black, green, red or taupe???' but none the less have only worn them a handful of times and just don't really like them so never bought any more.

How many pairs do your Hive Federation have?

I don't think Hivers wear a lot of jeans. But I'm sure Ithklur do, so I'm thinking lots. They are definitely a jeans-wearing kind of species.

They'd need adapted ones, to allow for their tails.

How are you defining blue? I have a pair which are navy blue denim, a pair of grey jeans, and one in very dark grey/black... I also have a pair of black cotton trousers my Mum calls jeans, but I'd always thought of jeans as denim.

Defining 'jeans' isn't easy. My numbers are what I 'feel' are jeans out of my far-too-many-pairs-of-trousers. If they are denim they are automatically jeans, but, on the other hand, I have several pairs of cords in exactly the same style, so they are jeans too!

I now have far more jeans than I used to, since they are ideal for dog walking in winter and I don't go to work any more. In summer I am more likely to wear light cotton pedal-pushers or chinos.

I am assuming you mean in active service. I have three further pairs, all various shades of blue, in a state of disrepair, which are waiting to be turned into a skirt.

Which answer do you want - total number of pairs or total number of pairs *for the dress size I currently am*?

Huh? I just voted and it didn't record my votes. I clicked O on both occasions.

I don't do jeans. They're so... conformist.

Ditto and ditto.

Mind you, it's more about being comfortable and stylish than non-conformist...

I don't do jeans. In my case, they're so... unflattering. ;-)

That also makes sense. :-)

There's a bug here - several people have voted "0", yet the "0" bar is empty.

I think that is a bug that has appeared before too.

I don't find jeans comfortable so I don't buy them. (Another factor is I'd nearly always have to turn them up / pay someone else to more likely, which is a pain so I don't bother trying to find any that fit/are comfortable. Waste of time & effort.)

I am one of those people ignored by the bug. I haven't worn jeans since I left university (or as soon after as that pair wasn't wearable any more) and, though not in your poll, I might as well add that I haven't worn a T-shirt since I left primary school (or thereabouts). I am rather annoyed that the train, the Tube and the office (and shops) are all too hot for me to wear three-piece suits... (I did once manage to wear one part way up Pen-y-ghent, though, but had to turn back when my trilby blew off and started to fill up with snow!)

A couple of pairs of blue jeans, and an old beige pair that are my scruffs for decorating or gardening. Blue jeans are something I've worn standardly, but that's starting to change lately.

I did a very similar poll (http://ladyofastolat.livejournal.com/332341.html) a few weeks ago. I wonder if the answers will match... :-)

Noting that one of my two pairs is 13 years old and inherited. But useful when I need a pair of trousers in very tough fabric.

I voted 6 for total jeans, 0 for blue jeans (mine are all black). As others have noted, the 0 responses do not seem to be recorded!

Got lots of jeans. Two pairs are black. 1
Now sweat pants, I alto got lots and those tend to be anything but blue.
I work from home, I don't need to dress up.

Really though, the question is more a matter of how many pairs can you actually still shoehorn yourself in to!

My zero blue jeans should be a 1. The other pairs are light green, dark green, red, and brown.

(more random old commenting)

I think, anyway. I couldn't be bothered to actually go the wardrobe and check, there may be another pair or two I've forgotten. My non-blue ones are fawn, light green, and pink respectively. Of the blue ones, 2 are embroidered and 1 has beading :-) However they do not all fit at the moment :-(

I only counted things made from serge de Nimes type fabric. I also have at least one pair of velvet trousers with jeans styling, eg rivets on pocket edges etc, so it does rather depend of definition.

I used to wear jeans far less often than I have done the last five years or so - they have proven very practical sturdy Mummy-wear, requiring little to no thought to coordinate with on busy mornings, and well-suited to scuffing around on chuch hall floors at toddler groups!

I was waiting for someone to use the phrase "serge de Nimes" (and not at all surprised that it was you!)
