It's awful, isn't it? Kids, do you think? Or have you really annoyed someone local?
I had this problem on the phone once. A drunken Scotsman (sorry to be stereotypical, but that's giving him the benefit of the doubt - it could have been drugs) rang me half a dozen times asking for someone I never heard of, and when told it was the wrong number, insisting again and again that, "It canna be."
It's amazing how you can get to sleep with the phone ringing. *grin*
I think it can only be kids ... possibly ones who hadn't gone to bed yet. I can't think of a way in which we have annoyed our neighbours ... noisy parties? too many cars on the drive? lopping the branches from their trees? No to all of them.
It was barely possible that it was an inconsiderate delivery man, but there was no card through the letter box.
It could have been a drunk going home from a party. Even living in relative isolation, we've had a number of very strange people knock the door at that time of day.
