The parents, and Grandma, are already here but my two brothers should be with us as well - the one time we are all together these days.

You've missed some out, you've got:

Going to parents, Parents coming to you, Going to other family, Other family coming to you, On your own

But some of us live with our nuclear family (eg. partner/kids) in which case "With my partner" & "With my children" are needed too? (Or just "with family who already live with me").

I'd like to be spending it somewhere warm and interesting, near the sea, with/without whom is dependent on when I'm asked (sans children rates quite highly at the moment but that's cos they've been very annoying. I'm going to be sans one of them anyway).

I live with my parents and siblings, so I guess I'm staying home to visit them. ;)

My son will be here, though not for Christmas but because school breaks then. There is a tentative plan to go out Christmas Eve for Chinese food.

This year, we are eating out (English food) at the behest, and expense, of some rellies. Very nice of them too, + no washing up/clearing away so more time for parlour games etc. afterwards. There is serious talk about us (possibly "and them" or "and others", possibly not) going out for Indian food next year, a. cos we like it and b. cos it's different and c. cos it happens to be about half the price (and quite possibly twice as nice).

Never seem to do anything particularly interesting for Hogmanay...it's tricky with kids and I don't like standing outside in the cold all evening if I can help it. Any ideas (for next year) welcome.

If we ever did eat out on Christmas Day, I'd be quite happy to eat Indian or Chinese. I seem to remember a friend from Uni eating Indian one Christmas - he lives near Southall.

We rarely seem to do much for New Year*, but some friends are planning a house party this year, which should be fun.

*Although I do seem to remember an enjoyable - if ice-bound! - moot at your parents' one year.

Thank you for that! I remember it fondly too - but we didn't stand outside! We stayed in the warm and watched Marriage of Figaro as I recall.

I wouldn't mind eating Indian for Christmas. Frankly, when you've done the same thing for 60 years or so, a change would be nice!

You know you really need to think of humourous ticky box questions on these polls of yours! :)
