If we ever did eat out on Christmas Day, I'd be quite happy to eat Indian or Chinese. I seem to remember a friend from Uni eating Indian one Christmas - he lives near Southall.
We rarely seem to do much for New Year*, but some friends are planning a house party this year, which should be fun.
*Although I do seem to remember an enjoyable - if ice-bound! - moot at your parents' one year.

I wouldn't mind eating Indian for Christmas. Frankly, when you've done the same thing for 60 years or so, a change would be nice!
