Firefox 2.0

I've just upgraded to Firefix 2.0 (from 1.5.8, I think), and there's a slight problem. The right-hand side of the page is missing - just a centimetre or two, I think, but enough to make things awkward. Any ideas?

Or, alternatively, is the maximizing being funky and creating a not-full-screen-sized window? I've seen that once or twice with some funky windows managers, and you could maximize the window manually...

Alternatively, could it be a strip of some kind from some firefox feature? Maybe there's something invisible that's supposed to be a visible and/or docked component.

I haven't moved up to Firefox 2... there's at least some indication that it's rather buggy and unstable, and there isn't that much benefit from 1.5.

Erm... so apart from saying 'think about whether you really want the new bits in Ff2 or whether you'd be better sticking with 1.5', I don't really have any suggestions for this particular problem.

You can get version 1.5.0.8 of Firefox from here.

I have to say, that I've been using 2.0 for a couple of months now, with no problems. You obviously have a genuine problem, but I don't think that 2.0 is generally that bad a release.

It's certainly a bizarre issue, and not one I've seen mentioned anywhere else. Is it on all sites or just specific ones?

It seemed to happen on all (or at least most) sites. Oddly, now I've gone back to 1.5.0.8, it is still happening very slightly ... Strange.
