I think Girl Genius is brilliant, and deserved to win. Connie probably also deserved it, but I voted for FEED by Mira Grant (pen name of Seanan McGuire) because the story simply mugged me and wouldn't let me put the e-reader down.

Then I bought the second in the trilogy from Amazon, and I am waiting for the final volume to be released.
