After last Sunday's aborted trip (flat battery in the car), we are again planning to head out to Slimbridge today. Will we see the bittern?

No bittern, unfortunatly, but we did see a lesser scaup.

I have seen a drawing of a rare sub-species of bittern discovered by the great ornithologist Dr Wuntz, and never seen again ...
