Steep Holm

We went to Steep Holm on Sunday, and we saw:
- lots of gulls (a disproportionate number of them being lesser black-backed)
- some cute and spotty LBB gull chicks
- many Victorian gun emplacements
- many Victorian guns
- many WWII gun emplacements
- one pseudo-WWII gun
- some cheap cider.

We did not, on the other hand, see:
- any peregrines
- the book that steepholm had hidden away for us.

One of the gulls was eating something that on closer inspection turned out to be the carcase of another gull.
