Phew!

It is very (I might almost say, incredibly) wet out there. The footpath was under water the whole way; my hands are soaked, and very cold; my face is pretty wet, despite the protection of a Rohan hood. The contents of my bags are none too dry, either! The rest of me is okay, though, underneath my Rohan coat and over-trousers, and Dunlop wellingtons.

It's windy, too, which no doubt contributed to my wetness and coldness, although I hadn't quite realised this while I was on my way in. Now I am at my first-floor desk, though, I can see the trees waving in the wind.

So what is it like with you this morning?

This evening it's cooling down nicely after a scorcher of a day. I spent this afternoon in the garden, planting potatoes and moving raspberries.

Have I mentioned how you can go off some people? ;-)

I like moving raspberries, too. From the canes to my mouth (possibly via the kitchen) ...

Gloomy and damp. The cat went outside for 3 seconds and now is on my lap. with the air of an animal who plans to stay a while.

No, Molly is the sensible cat. She took one look and changed her mind about going out at all.

Not at all. A cat of discerning judgment. You wouldn't thank her for being bold, and then drying off on your soft furnishings!

As a teenager we had a cat who thought a little thing like rain was not worth depriving itself of stalking and prowling time. We had to keep a special towel in the kitchen to grab and scrub it before it got water everywhere. It was, of course, the long-haired cat.

But of course.

Overcast, wet, and I need to venture out soon...

Dry, not warm but not very cold, either.

It was raining a bit and now is cloudy but brightish, and a bit chilly.

Dry, by now, and a calm between storms - the wind is expected to get up to Force 7 again tonight and the rain to be back

But the mental image of you looking a little like my icon is going to brighten my afternoon - even though I do know about Rohan clothing...

I aim to please :-)

It was merely damp in Essex. They saved the storm for my drive back. Did I mention how much I don't like Essex?

I like Essex, but it is often damp there.

Torrential rain most of the day, been soaked through twice but the sun did come out this afternoon. The dogs loved playing in the flooded fields [sheep and cows not so keen] and got very muddy. That mud is now being slowly transferred to my rugs and furniture in spite of my sterling rubbing down efforts!

I like the sound of your Rohan hood.

One of the reasons my father never used to let any of his dogs into the house.

It was very wet here as well. I managed to get to work without getting completely soaked, but it rained non-stop until about 2pm and the bottom of our road was flooded deep enough for a car to get stuck (not ours, fortunately).
