What fantastic photos! I don't think I've seen otters at Slimbridge, but it's a while since I've been. Love all the chicks!
If it's not a secret, I'd love to know where you went to hear nightingales, and what time they started singing.

Thank you! These are the "tame" American river otters, that are easy to see - they also have wild native otters around the reserve, although we've never seen them.

The nightingales were at Highnam Woods, about four miles west of Gloucester - apparently they have seven or eight singing males this year. They started singing around 7.45pm. By all means message me for more info.

This post title caught me eye on the lj home page as I scrolled down. I'm a member of Wetlands and I love Slimbridge. Particularly Minnie, Ha-ha and Flo the otters <3 They'll always have my heart.

Lovely photos, lovely post.
