At the top: Aule (not appearing in the live show, as the armour was fitted to the original model who wasn't able to attend Oxonmoot, on account of having some Fathers of the Dwarves to hide or some such thing).

Chap with circles on cloak: Mandos
Chap with horns: Orome
Chap with clouds, blue lights on headdress: Manwe
Lady dressed as flowering tree: Yavanna
Chap with waves and foam: Ulmo
Lady with stars, another light-up headdress: Varda
Lady with veil: Nienna. Details you don't really get from the photos - her dress was the only one not cut on the bias, which meant it hung heavily when all the others moved with a swish, also her lights "fell", like tears or rain running down a window.

Aule's cloak had a volcano incorporated, but it flatly refused to erupt during Worldcon.

Easily and by far and away the most stunning set of costumes I have ever seen.

Absolutely magnificent costumes, and you got better photos of them than I did! (I was too far away.) Maggie did a stellar job of designing and sewing, and the presentation was wonderful. Costumes by "amateurs" don't get better than that! I'm very glad I was there this year to see them live!

Oh, terrific!. I'm smiling a lot with pleasure at seeing them - I especially like Yavanna, and Nienna's mercy like rain, and Ulmo's weedy beard. :) And the hunter's dog. :)

Very fine photos! Much better distance to get the lighting effects to show up than, for instance, sitting in the audience at Loncon.

Thank you! :-)

(and yes, being three rows back from a small stage really helped).

How beautiful! And very, very well designed to represent the Valar.

Amazing amount of work involved over the last couple of years by Maggie and her team. I contributed several weekends of stitching (especially on Yavanna's cloak - all those leaves were individually sewn on), not to mention the warg claws at the bottom of Orome's furry kilt, which were made out of modelling clay, painted and sewn in.

I stand in awe of the work that Maggie, you, and so many other people put into this.

Great photos - thanks for sharing! (We were up and to the side, so less good for photo purposes.) It was wonderful to see them in person :-)
