Three good things for Sunday, autumn edition:
- we went blackberrying this afternoon
- and then we had roast partridge for dinner
- and blackberry and elderberry crumble for pudding :-)

Yum to blackberries.

I suppose I ought to go out and get a few more. I picked the patch in the garden last month before we cleared it. I miht have to walk all of five minutes....

If I hadn't so assiduously cleared brambles from our garden fence, I could have got a few from there. As it is, we have to go a couple of minutes walk.

:) Wonderful (terrible) blackberries. I love eating them, but in Australia they can run very rampant. But I know a road where I can stroll and pick them, even so.

I curse them when they grow across the pavement, or the footpath, that I take to work. But I love them in September :-)

We (or rather the three other members of the household) also went blackberrying two weeks ago, resulting in the more mainstream blackberry and apple crumble - but with our own apples for extra bonus :-)

(Actually I had plain apple crumble, having an unfortunate aversion to blackberries and raspberries, arising from childhood trauma of the top-and-bottom-braces variety, but still.)
