Iona

Well, we're on Iona. Things I've found out:
- my Barbour is losing its waterproofing
- the sleeves on my Barbour are too short to fully cover my fleece
- while my waterproof over-trousers may in fact be waterproof, leaving them in the hotel doesn't actually help to keep my legs dry
- apparently you can make a noise like a corncrake by scraping a credit card over a comb
- a cooked breakfast, a cooked lunch, and a three-course dinner every day doesn't do my waistline any good.

I just had my old Barbour waterproofed and repaired. Now if it would just rain so I could test it out. We're six weeks now with no rain here in Deutschland.

We had a week of glorious sunshine, followed by a week of wetter weather. My Barbour stood up to most of it, except for that first walk!
