I can only think he's referring to the redbrick college houses which 'front' onto Bevington Road, but which are now accessed from inside St Anne's. It's been a couple of years since I last visited St Anne's, but considering the density of modern college living, I sincerely doubt anything 'small' has been built anywhere.
