I put a post a little on both Facebook and LJ/DW, but the difference is that I read LJ/DW every day, and comment a fair amount, whereas I may go weeks without doing anything other than (fluff)friends on FB.
LJ/DW posting is quite likely to go in waves - I have a longer post I keep meaning to make, but it takes a while to do so and then when I have, I don't mind making shorter ones.
