Going to work. We don't close for bank holidays if they fall during term (we get to take the day's holiday at another time, which is fine by me) and that's right in the middle of budgeting so I will be busy enough that I won't really want to take a random day off.

Oh I expect I'll sneak a view at the wedding although I do feel a bit short-changed that the bride will be arriving in a car rather than a carriage pulled by at least eight horses. Economies are all very well but there's no point in feeding the things all year round and then leaving them in the stables come one of the few times we actually get to show off our national assets!

It's my parents' fortieth wedding anniversary on the Saturday, so I'll be either there doing whatever the plan is, or travelling there.

I probably shall watch some of the ceremony, because with a bit of luck it will be a historic occasion as the last time an heir to the throne ever marries in the UK ;-)

Staying at home and not watching the wedding on TV. Which is what we did at Charles and Diana's wedding. Actually, as we had the day off work, we spent it writing. Now we are retired, it could be anything. A friend of ours spent the Charles and Diana one doing the laundry.

No idea, I`m not very interested in the royals so will probably go for a walk if the weather is good. Or I might have to sit on the front desk at work if my volunteers all want to watch!

No idea. I haven't even planned tomorrow yet! Do you know what the weather will be like on the day, since that will influence my decision.

I do remember going for a very nice walk in the Peak District during Prince Andrew's wedding. The roads were lovely and empty, and we had the whole place to ourselves.

I know I went ice-skating for that one, again all very quiet and pleasant both in town and at the rink.

Don't know exactly what I'll be doing this time yet, but I can be sure that it will involve looking after two small boys, same as every other day - so if television is involved it will most likely be CBeebies :-)

Oh, and I feel an inevitable desire to quibble over the degree of contribution of Logie Baird to television even in cathode ray tube form let alone flat-screen...

(speaking as one whose grandfather at one time worked with Logie Baird, and whose verdict was that he wasn't necessarily all that brilliant an inventor in his own right, though very good at seeing the potential in and building on the ideas of others. I don't know how fair this is though.)

I do not know but I am very chuffed regarding a scheduling conundrum solved by Wills & Kate (well actually, by the Prime Minister decreeing it to be a Bank Hol) so whatever I decide to actually do that day - and I have no idea yet - you will not catch me complaining :)
