Just now: South Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group are making a strong bid for "Worst admin". They will have to do a lot if they are to overhaul the front-runners, St Mark's hospital and Bristol City Council; but they are starting to think that they can do it. Meanwhile, South Gloucestershire Council are maintaining a steady fourth place. There's nothing showy about them, but if any of the others slip, they could be in with a chance.

Earlier today: It is always a pleasure to get an email from a portcullis.

I could raise you several places since then (although that reminds me that the bus company came good, I discovered most of it was somewhere else's fault, and I must reply to their email offering to send a free day ticket in recompense for them selling my daughter the wrong ticket TWICE in two days (two different drivers), which is better than nothing.

But let's call it quits. Or I'll fold. Whichever. Mornington Crescent instead, anyone?
