Amid the many famous people who have died this year, I think this gentleman deserves a mention. He saved so many, many lives.

For those of you who don't already know, Elisabeth Sladen (Sarah Jane Smith in Dr Who) has passed away. It appears that she had been fighting cancer for some time.
